Today is Election day. As we headed off to vote in our local elections, my thoughts kept going back to this little girl.
Four year old Paige didn't want to let go of her daddy's hand as he was preparing to leave for Iraq.
We are so blessed to live in a free country. I was able to vote today because solders like Paige's daddy, and the sacrifice of Paige and her family and thousands of others just like them. It's said so often, but it is so true: Freedom isn't free. I wish I could say thank you to each of them face to face.
