Nephews of mine
I am by no means a photographer, but I would like to save up for a SLR camera. I have not made any progress with that actually.... boo. But recently, I had my handy point and shoot camera and happened to be a lovely location and so I forced two of my nephews to sit still for me. ☺

Just thinking aloud here, but an SLR may not be what you are looking for. There is a huge learning curve along with editing software that is necessary for a finished look. You might be happier with a high end point-and-shoot that spits out great pictures with little effort. Just an idea. I know I was really questioning my decision for the first six months to a year after I got my dream camera. I kind of wished at that time that I had settled for a little less to handle. Just a thought...
