Picture Makeover

If ya'll remember (sometimes I like to pretend I am Southern and use terms like "ya'll"... hope you don't mind) back at Christmas, I received Photoshop Elements 8 as a wonderful gift from my husband. I had been hoping to get it for months and then when I finally did unwrap it and load it on my computer, I was a little dis hearted because it was not as easy to learn as most programs on planet earth. With the recommendation of a friend (and excellent photographer), I got Scott Kelby's book on the subject. Okay, well I say "got" but really I just would read it while at Barnes & Nobles on Seth and my weekly date until after about a month I had skimmed read the whole thing and got the basic gist. Meanwhile I had my order in to check it out at the library when it came in there, which it did this week. Woo-hoo! Do you see how cheap, um... I mean frugal I am? Anyway, I have been playing with PE8 non stop and it is so much fun. I mean, like really really fun. (That was my normal California girl talk... had to balance out that Southern stuff.)

I'm still a for sure novice but I wanted to show off my beautiful new program's power.

I took this last fall. I thought it was a really good picture, and it is considering that I have a standard shoot and point camera and am just not very good at taking pictures! And it helped that the subject was just so stinkin' handsome.

It's okay, everyone. You can admit it: He's a hunk.

But doesn't this look so much better!? He's EVEN more handsome, if it were even possible!

Basically, I gave Seth a facial, a teeth whitening treatment, and made the sun come out. Since the invention of Photoshop, we basically can all just let ourselves go and fix it later digitally. I may never brush my teeth again.
Love,

Thanks so much for posting this. It looks fabulous! I need to read my instruction book for my editor, it boggles the mind! I'm encouraged to put a little more effort into it.
Have you learned layers yet?

About the fabric....just swimsuit fabric and it stretches 4 ways. It is slippery. It was a task but fun to see end result. Blessings
